San Francisco is about 45 miles to the north and is connected to the city by the regional Caltrain commuter light rail line, which runs seven days a week. Amtrak also has a stop in the city for its Capitol Corridor line, a commuter train with multiple daily runs that goes between San Jose and Sacramento with stops throughout the East Bay (such as Oakland and Campbell). From San Jose one can also catch the Coast Starlight train that runs to Los Angeles with stops at the larger cities along the California coast. The Mineta San Jose Airport is also actually partially located in this city.
